The Kariz Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit, participatory, and research-oriented organization established to support, develop, and facilitate data-driven and socially impactful research projects across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region

To create a sustainable ecosystem for impactful, data-driven, and socially valuable research projects in the MENA region.

Our Mission

We support the development, funding, and dissemination of open research projects by offering high-quality data infrastructure, financial support systems, and collaboration tools that invite participation from a wide range of actors.

Why We Exist

Data in MENA is fragmented, underutilized, and often inaccessible.

Researchers struggle to find sustainable funding, credible visibility, and skilled collaborators.

There is a gap between development needs and innovation in science and research.

KARIZ exists to fill these gaps through transparency, inclusion, and collective action.
